Fanfilk
Fanfilk songs are similar to fanfic in that the lyrics of such a song pertain to the “universe” of a particular television show, movie, or other form of storytelling. One will take original lyrics from a well-known (or obscure) tune, and create new lyrics that reference that particular universe, filking the song.
I’ve sung a lot of fanfilk and original songs for Beauty and the Beast fandom. Also linked to this page are random songs I performed but did not alter, but seem to pertain to this fandom well enough anyway.
