Behind the Scenes:
I’m not sure where I heard this song, but it was 2006, and after a four year hiatus, was getting back into the habit of making these music videos. I like to explore deep subjects, and compile videos that are not singularly mushy, but contemplative.

For this one, I wanted to portray Vincent as someone who felt unworthy of another’s love, and constantly and purposefully put distance between the two of them in an effort to pull away, to ease the emotions each felt. Of course, Vincent was unable to separate himself from the emotions he held inside for her. There was this endless struggle between pulling away from her and yet running back to her when she needed him.

This remains a video I rewatch quite often.
